TGIF – The Proof is in the Pudding!

As 2014 was wrapping-up, I set out on a venture that would involve new products promoted by a freshly recruited sales team. At the advice of a client who is actively involved in online recruiting, I posted ads on Craigslist seeking purpose driven, contract based sales people as opposed to using Monster.com, being told CL featured an audience more in tune with the autonomy and self-reliance I sought.

puddingAfter an entire month seeking help on free online classifieds, sadly, my Craigslist human resources endeavor resulted in a mediocre outcome that cost me valuable time and money.

Turns out, the caliber of the sales people on Craigslist, in spite of the fact they ALL claimed to be “purpose driven” Christians, turned out to be mediocre, at best.

A drunk driver, afflicted Methodist pastor, confrontational housewife and low IQ theology student all ended up with the same outcome: Vanished without a trace!

It appears I will need to “spend more” to “get more”.

Craigslist’s potential seems to be focused more on giving away stuff for free… The pudding in this instance did not measure up, food for thought next time you’re thinking of putting out a help wanted ad on the free classified portal.
